Pierry Consulting, Inc. is a consulting services company specializing in foundation evaluation. We utilize our extensive engineering, construction, and technology experience to deliver affordable products and services of the highest quality.

The President

Robert F. Pierry, Jr. is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and nine other states. Mr. Pierry earned a B.S. degree in Engineering from Duke University in 1976 and has more than 30 years of engineering and construction experience, including more than 24 years in foundation evaluation and repair. A noted expert in this field, he served as Chairman of a sub-committee of the Texas Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). During his tenure, this sub-committee developed "Guidelines for the Evaluation and Repair of Residential Foundations." In the Fall of 2007, Mr. Pierry was appointed Chairman of the Texas Section ASCE Residential Foundations Oversight Committee, which oversees the continuing work of his previous sub-committee and that of a similar sub-committee that developed "Recommended Practice for the Design of Residential Foundations." Mr. Pierry has co-authored a number of papers, including "Revisions to Texas Section, ASCE Residential Foundations Documents" (with Marshall B. Addison, Ph.D., P.E., Philip G. King, P.E., and Ottis Foster, P.E. (2009)), "An Analysis of TRCC Post-Construction Findings of Structural Defects" (with Brett Reed, B.S.E.E. (2009)), "Analysis of TRCC Performance Standards for Foundations" (with Harold F. Phillips, P.E., and Tyler Palmatary, E.I.T. (2005)), and "Reliability Based Soil Structure Foundation Interaction Evaluation Approach" (with Harold F. Phillips, P.E., and John T. Bryant, PhD., P.G., P.E. (2004)). Mr. Pierry regularly attends as well as teaches seminars and short courses related to foundation evaluation and repair.

Mr. Pierry has been involved with small business his entire career. Beginning with his family's road contracting business as a teenager, he has held management, leadership and ownership positions in a number of small businesses for more than 30 years.
